Recently, aSino-foreignCooperativeEducationProjectjointly held by HEBAU and Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal, (Germany University), majored in“mechanical design, making & automation”, for undergraduates, was officially approved bythe Ministry ofEducation, PRC. 51 Sino-foreign cooperative education projects are approved this time, and 4 are in Hebei Province.

“Mechanical design, making & automation”of HEBAU is a first-class national-level construction undergraduate major, which is in the rank of the“Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan”of the Ministry of Education and also a provincial major of brand characteristics and taken as comprehensive reform pilot. The project plans to enroll students from 2021, benchmarking the National Engineering Education Professional Certification and the German ASIIN International Engineering Professional Certification. It intends to introduce German high-quality courses, teaching materials and faculties to HEBAU. German teachers will undertake 40% of the teaching tasks. HEBAU focuses on the theoretical basis of disciplines, and the German side strengthens the cultivation of international certification rules, practical ability and innovation ability. Students are expected to get the bachelor degrees of HEBAU after 4 years of study, and the ones who choose to study in Germany for one year will simultaneously obtain a degree from Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal.

The approval of this project is a milestone of HEBAU in the process of building a high-level university with distinctive characteristics and international cooperation.
